Happy Independence Day!

Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays, I enjoy watching all the people at the park enjoying family time and getting to really appreciate their freedom. However, I tend to get frustrated that people take it for granted, it is just another day "to party" for them and they are so upset when they "have" to work! I wish people would appreciate the privileges, rights and freedoms they have, it truly makes me sad. I am so grateful that I live in such a wonderful nation and am also very grateful for those who have and do fight for little ole me to have the opportunity to do so!!
Well this year, we had a great 4th! While Nate was at work, the kids and I walked down to the park and watched the parade, we all had such a blast and the kids came home with handfuls of candy. I had such a proud parent moment while at the parade, when the flag came by all 3 of my precious babies stood and put their hands on their hearts and as I looked around at all the people nearby, I noticed a handful of adults who were either sitting or did not have their hands over their hearts and I got so teary eyed. On our walk home, the kids and I talked about the flag and what it stands for and why we celebrate Independence Day.
Later that night, we loaded the kids up and drove to Brigham City to watch the fireworks with family. We had such a blast! The show was great and afterwards the kids played hide-and-seek and tag with their awesome cousins, it was so fun to watch! I wish I had remembered my camera.
It was truly one of the best days I have ever had!! Thanks to everybody that made it possible!
